East Bay Coffee

If you live in Pinole and you haven’t visited East Bay Coffee yet, you are missing out! It’s a coffee shop in the morning, closes for a few hours, and reopens at 4 pm (not every day though) for appetizers, drinks, and dinner. It is my favorite place in Pinole to work on my laptop and drink coffee in the morning, and it’s also my favorite place in Pinole to get a glass of wine. One caveat: if you’re looking for a late night spot, this isn’t it. They usually close at 9, making it better for happy hour or dinner, and they are also closed from 1-4 pm in between coffee and happy hour.

You might notice the art displayed when you visit, and most (possibly all?) is by local artists. At least one artist who has had art featured is also an employee.

If you like buying your coffee beans from locally owned coffee shops, they do sell a few varieties and I’ve always been happy with the beans I’ve purchased there. I prefer dark roast so I can’t vouch for their light roast but it’s probably great, if you like light roast.
