The Good Table: Coffee and Plants in El Sobrante
If you live in Pinole or El Sobrante and you haven’t heard about The Good Table, the cafe that opened in El Sobrante in December 2025, you are missing out! It is a beautiful space, located on the site of the former Adachi nursery, and the cafe shares space with a new nursery, Planting Justice, and an arts collective called The Shed that offers art and craft classes for both adults and children.
I love both coffee and plants, so the fact that the cafe and the new nursery share space is definitely a plus for me. The gift shop in The Good Table is also worth checking out. I found Christmas gifts for a few people on my list, and I could see buying housewarming gifts for my clients there too. And if you have a gardener you need a gift for, the Planting Justice gift shop is also definitely worth checking out.
The Shed, located across the parking lot, is open on Sundays during the El Sobrante Farmer’s Market, and sells handmade goods by local artists and crafters. They also have a lot of art/craft classes that you can sign up for, at very reasonable prices, and a couple of clubs based on common interests – as of the time of this post, there was a fermentation club and a gardening club, and I believe there are more groups starting up.
